The Wicklow live music scene

Wicklow runs down the coast south of Dublin and inland over the mountains to Blessington and Baltinglass, and LocalJams holds 32 venues for it: Bray and Wicklow town with five each, Blessington with four, Greystones with three, and Donard, Arklow, Delgany, Tinahely and a string of villages behind them. Around 25 gigs are listed over the coming months, 40 per cent of them ticketed, and folk is the most common tag ahead of rock.

The Whale Theatre in Greystones is the busiest listed venue in the county, with John Spillane, The Human Touch's Bruce Springsteen tribute, Jerry Fish, the Route 66 Big Band and Let It Be: The Music of the Beatles. The Arklow Bay Hotel on Sea Road lists Derek Ryan, Onóir and The High Kings on New Year's Day, the Mermaid Arts Centre in Bray has an 80s Icon Show, and the Parkview Hotel in Newtown Mount Kennedy carries Abbaesque. The Manor House at Tulfarris Hotel in Blessington hosts a concentrated November weekend with Mishka Rushdie Momen, Fiachra Garvey, Ellen Jansson, the Paddington Trio and a Rising Stars lunchtime slot, and the Courthouse Arts Centre in Tinahely lists Aindrias De Staic, Tolü Makay and Maria Doyle Kennedy. Over the summer of 2026 the listings also carried the Music in the Forest series, with 14 dates between June and August.

Live music in Wicklow: FAQ

Where can I find live music in Wicklow tonight?

The listings on this page show upcoming gigs across Wicklow, refreshed every night. Open any gig to see the line-up, start time, ticket details and a map to the venue. For a filtered view by date, genre or price, use the Explore page.

Are there free gigs in Wicklow?

Sometimes, but none of the Wicklow gigs currently listed on this page is marked free. We only mark a gig as free when there's positive evidence for it, so the green "Free Entry" badge appears only when the venue or promoter says so. Listings refresh nightly, and the Explore page lets you filter by price.

Where can I find traditional Irish music sessions in Wicklow?

Our Wicklow listings don't currently show a weekly traditional session pattern; the county's calendar is led by the Whale Theatre in Greystones and hotel concerts in Arklow and Blessington. Dublin city's nightly sessions are the nearest in our data, and the Explore page with the Wicklow filter will show any new session listings.

How often are Wicklow gig listings updated?

Every night. Our crawlers read public listings from venue websites, ticketing platforms and established what's-on guides, then clean and de-duplicate them so the listings stay accurate and focused on live music.

Can I find ticketed concerts as well as pub gigs in Wicklow?

Yes. LocalJams lists everything from free trad sessions to ticketed concerts and touring shows. Where a ticket page exists we link straight to it — we never sell tickets ourselves, so the venue or promoter is always the final word on prices and availability.
