Down runs from Belfast Lough down the Ards Peninsula and Strangford Lough to the Mournes and Carlingford Lough, bordered by Antrim, Armagh and Louth, and LocalJams holds 31 venues for it: 11 in Warrenpoint, ten in Bangor, two in Rathfriland, and one each in Banbridge, Downpatrick, Newtownards, Newcastle, Donaghadee and Rostrevor. Around 25 gigs are listed over the coming months, roughly half of them ticketed, and the tags that appear are rock and jazz.
The Bannville Hotel in Banbridge is the busiest listed venue and publishes its own listings: a Halloween Country Club, Patrick Feeney, Country Friday with Claudia Buckley, a Christmas Party Night and a Christmas Tea Dance, all ticketed. Denvirs Hotel in Downpatrick is the session venue, with a Trad Session on Sunday afternoons at 3pm and a midweek Ukulele Club. Bangor has Jenny Watts with its resident band and The Court House with Jam Pact and Meraki over the October bank holiday weekend, the Ards Arts Centre in Newtownards lists Brigid O'Neill and Ken Haddock, and the Town Hall in Warrenpoint has the Cheng² Duo in November. Warrenpoint's other venues and Bangor's wider pub list have nothing upcoming at the moment.

All venuesLive music in Down: FAQ
Where can I find live music in Down tonight?
The listings on this page show upcoming gigs across Down, refreshed every night. Open any gig to see the line-up, start time, ticket details and a map to the venue. For a filtered view by date, genre or price, use the Explore page.
Are there free gigs in Down?
Sometimes, but none of the Down gigs currently listed on this page is marked free. We only mark a gig as free when there's positive evidence for it, so the green "Free Entry" badge appears only when the venue or promoter says so. Listings refresh nightly, and the Explore page lets you filter by price.
Where can I find traditional Irish music sessions in Down?
Denvirs Hotel in Downpatrick lists a Trad Session on Sunday afternoons at 3pm, plus a Ukulele Club on Wednesday evenings, the county's regular session listings in our data. For nightly trad the Belfast guide is the nearest option; check the Explore page with the Down filter for new dates.
How often are Down gig listings updated?
Every night. Our crawlers read public listings from venue websites, ticketing platforms and established what's-on guides, then clean and de-duplicate them so the listings stay accurate and focused on live music.
Can I find ticketed concerts as well as pub gigs in Down?
Yes. LocalJams lists everything from free trad sessions to ticketed concerts and touring shows. Where a ticket page exists we link straight to it — we never sell tickets ourselves, so the venue or promoter is always the final word on prices and availability.
