Terms of Service

1. Agreement to these terms

By accessing or using the LocalJams website at localjams.live or the LocalJams mobile applications for iOS and Android (together, the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service is operated by LocalJams (“we”, “us”, “our”), based in Ireland. Questions can be sent to support@localjams.live.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using the Service you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have your parent or guardian's permission.

3. Your account

  • You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account.
  • You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
  • You may not share your account or create accounts on behalf of others without their consent.
  • You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Delete Account in the app. Deletion is immediate, permanent, and removes all your data in accordance with GDPR Art. 17.

4. User-generated content

The Service allows users to submit content including artist profiles, venue profiles, gig listings, profile pictures, and feedback (“User Content”).

  • You retain ownership of your User Content.
  • By submitting User Content you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display and distribute it within the Service.
  • You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of your User Content.
  • You must not submit content that is false, misleading, defamatory, infringing, or otherwise unlawful.
  • We reserve the right to remove any User Content that violates these terms or that we deem harmful to the Service or its users.

5. Claiming artist and venue profiles

Artist and venue profiles may be created from publicly available information before being claimed. You may claim a profile if you are an authorised representative of that artist or venue.

  • You must not claim a profile you are not authorised to manage.
  • False claims may result in immediate account suspension.
  • We reserve the right to approve or reject any claim at our discretion.

6. Ad-Free subscription

LocalJams offers an optional “LocalJams Ad-Free” subscription that removes advertisements from the Service.

  • Pricing: €11.99/year (or equivalent local price), charged as an auto-renewing annual subscription.
  • Billing: Payment is processed by Apple (iOS), Google (Android), or our payment processor (web). LocalJams does not store your payment card details.
  • Renewal: The subscription automatically renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Cancellation: You may cancel at any time via your Apple ID, Google Play account settings, or your web account settings. Access continues until the end of the paid period.
  • Refunds: No refunds are provided for the unused portion of a subscription period, except where required by applicable law (including Irish consumer law).
  • Restore purchases:If you reinstall the app, use the “Restore Purchases” option in Settings to recover an active subscription.

7. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these terms.
  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Service without our written permission.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
  • Post spam, fake gig listings, or misleading venue or artist information.

8. Intellectual property

The LocalJams name, logo, and all original content, features, and functionality of the Service are owned by LocalJams and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our express written consent.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

  • Gig listings, artist profiles, and venue information are user-submitted. We do not guarantee their accuracy, completeness, or timeliness.
  • We are not responsible for cancelled or changed events listed on the Service.
  • We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Irish and EU law, LocalJams shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or €10, whichever is greater.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under Irish or EU consumer law.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you breach these terms, without prior notice. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. Sections 4, 8, 9, 10, and 12 survive termination.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts, without prejudice to your rights as a consumer under EU law to bring proceedings in your country of residence.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the revised terms with an updated “Last updated” date. For material changes we will notify users via the app. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
