Donegal is Ireland's most north-westerly county, bordered only by Leitrim in the Republic and by Derry, Tyrone and Fermanagh across the border, and LocalJams holds 101 venues for it, the largest venue list outside Dublin and Cork. Letterkenny leads with 21 venues on file, followed by Ballyshannon, Bundoran, Dunfanaghy, Buncrana, Ballybofey, Donegal Town, Dungloe and Kilcar. Over 90 gigs are listed in the coming months, more than half of them ticketed, and country is the most common tag, followed by folk, blues and jazz.
An Grianán Theatre on Upper Port Road in Letterkenny is the county's busiest listed venue, with a ticketed run of touring productions including the Legends of the 60s Show, Rock Rising, ABBA Forever and Dominic Kirwan. Also in Letterkenny, the Regional Cultural Centre runs its RCC Music strand with Martin Taylor, Lemoncello and Tommy Sands, and The Mount Errigal Hotel has The High Kings in January. Bundoran is the county's country music capital in the data: the Allingham Arms Hotel lists Olivia Douglas, Michael English and an October Bank Holiday festival weekend with Derek Ryan, Jack Keogh and Mick Flavin, while Chasing Bull keeps Friday and Saturday nights busy through October. In Ballybofey, Jackson's Hotel and the Balor Arts Centre share the listings, and The Old Courthouse in Lifford has a Saturday concert series.
The one standing weekly fixture is Jamming Thursdays at John Joe's on Main Street in Kilcar at 9pm. Earlier in 2026 the listings also carried the Buncrana Music Festival in July. Nothing in Donegal is currently flagged free, so budget for tickets.
