Roscommon lies between the Shannon and the Suck in the west midlands, bordered by Sligo, Leitrim, Longford, Westmeath, Offaly, Galway and Mayo, and LocalJams holds 17 venues for it: six in Roscommon town, four in Strokestown, and one each in Castlerea, Boyle, Ballaghaderreen and a handful of villages. Fewer than ten gigs are listed over the coming months, a third of them ticketed, and country is the tag that appears most.
Comptons Central Bar on the N5 in Strokestown is the county's session venue in our data, with a Trad Session on Sunday nights at 9pm and an Open Mic Night in early November. Roscommon Arts Centre lists a choral night pairing a Mens Choir with Roscommon Womens in November and The Greatest 80's Show at the end of the month, while the Abbey Hotel Roscommon has two ticketed country dates, Mike Denver in November and Foster and Allen after Christmas. In Castlerea, the Trinity Arts Centre hosts an October country night with Barry Kirwan, Louise Morrissey and Jack Keogh.
No free-entry gigs are flagged in Roscommon at present. Because the county's calendar is thin, the Galway, Mayo and Westmeath guides are the nearest places with a fuller listing.

All venuesLive music in Roscommon: FAQ
Where can I find live music in Roscommon tonight?
The listings on this page show upcoming gigs across Roscommon, refreshed every night. Open any gig to see the line-up, start time, ticket details and a map to the venue. For a filtered view by date, genre or price, use the Explore page.
Are there free gigs in Roscommon?
Sometimes, but none of the Roscommon gigs currently listed on this page is marked free. We only mark a gig as free when there's positive evidence for it, so the green "Free Entry" badge appears only when the venue or promoter says so. Listings refresh nightly, and the Explore page lets you filter by price.
Where can I find traditional Irish music sessions in Roscommon?
Comptons Central Bar in Strokestown lists a Trad Session on Sunday nights at 9pm and an Open Mic Night in November, the only session-style listings we currently hold for Roscommon. Check the Explore page with the Roscommon filter for new dates, which refresh nightly.
How often are Roscommon gig listings updated?
Every night. Our crawlers read public listings from venue websites, ticketing platforms and established what's-on guides, then clean and de-duplicate them so the listings stay accurate and focused on live music.
Can I find ticketed concerts as well as pub gigs in Roscommon?
Yes. LocalJams lists everything from free trad sessions to ticketed concerts and touring shows. Where a ticket page exists we link straight to it — we never sell tickets ourselves, so the venue or promoter is always the final word on prices and availability.
