Free live music on weeknights is the proposition at Brú Bar on Saint Patrick's Street in Cork. An open mic night early in the week and bands on the other weeknights all start at 8pm, with the odd Sunday evening too, and the players are local: the Billy Kennedy Band, Ben Prevo, Blues Odyssey and the Jennymac Band have all had slots. Nothing is ticketed and there is no door charge, which makes it an easy midweek stop in the city centre.
