VISUAL on the Dublin Road in Carlow town is the county's contemporary art centre and theatre, and its concert nights are nearly all Saturdays at 8pm in a seated auditorium. The programme mixes folk and singer-songwriters, with Eddi Reader and the Alan Kelly Gang and Lemoncello among those who have played, with tribute and story-of productions: Blondie Raptured, The Luke Kelly Story, Thanks for the Dance (Leonard Cohen), Tennessee Whiskey country nights and ABBA Forever. Tickets are sold through VISUAL's own box office rather than ticket platforms.
