The Roost
Main Street, Maynooth, Kildare
The Roost on Main Street in Maynooth is a student-town bar whose music is mostly event-led: Wednesday club nights pitched at the college crowd, freshers' parties, meet-and-greets, GAA fundraisers and themed Over 30s nights of 80s and 90s hits, with tribute bands such as an Oasis Live Forever show and ABBA Esque on bigger dates. Starts range from 6pm Sunday sessions to 8pm or 9pm weeknights, and nearly everything is ticketed at €6 to €16. It is a party bar rather than a listening venue.
