The Deer's Head in Belfast city centre runs a weekly rhythm: a trad session on Fridays at 5pm, the Belfast Ukulele Jam on Wednesdays at 7.30pm and a Saturday afternoon band at 2pm, with evening gigs around 7.30pm. Blues and rock dominate the bands, from Crow Black Chicken and the Chris Taplin Blues Band to tributes such as Bob Dylan's 115th Dream and Big Love, and the bar joins the Tradfest session trail. Most nights are not ticketed.
