Abbey Presbyterian Church
Champions' Avenue, Dublin 1, Dublin
A Dublin 1 church that doubles as a chamber-music room, Abbey Presbyterian Church hosts a Sunday lunchtime concert series with a 1pm start, the kind of slot that suits a Schubert octet, a solo pianist or a contemporary ensemble such as Crash Ensemble or the Hard Rain SoloistEnsemble. Programmes lean classical and new music rather than anything amplified, and the acoustics of the building are a large part of the appeal. Seated, quiet and over by mid-afternoon.
